About a year ago I realised a speculative design project on face recognition, which might change people relationship and ways to interact. Well that’s no longer speculative design, it exist and it was predictable. Surely it might be seen as something creepy, but as the FindFace (that’s the name of the app) co-founder Kabakov says we can’t stop technological progress, but we can work on it making it open and transparent:

“In today’s world we are surrounded by gadgets. Our phones, televisions, fridges, everything around us is sending real-time information about us. Already we have full data on people’s movements, their interests and so on. A person should understand that in the modern world he is under the spotlight of technology. You just have to live with that.”
