Mel & Ben Wedding Stationery

Stationery realised for a stylish autumn wedding held in East London, characterised by greenery patterns and pastel colours.

CLIENT: Melissa LeClerc & Ben Blackall

PROJECT DATE: 2016

Pattern proposals

With greenery and pastel colours at its center, the theme of the wedding ceremony aimed to be elegant, but at the same time urban and informal, through a modern and “east-Londoner” touch. Latter characteristic suggested by the name which was given to the ceremony: “Our East London Wedding”.

According to the brief, I started designing a pattern which could be used throughout all the stationery. Rather than classic flowers I focused more on the greenery and I left out tridimensional details, for a flat fresher design.

Colour options

Yellow, blue and green where the colours suggested in first place and so I tried some options with different tints and tones.

Chosen proposal with and without flowers

Ultimately none of the above options was chosen, yellow was replaced white and to make it stand out I adopted a cream background. I was also asked to try a version without flowers, which was eventually discarded.

The invites

The invites were printed and on a 300gsm paper and enveloped in a green bag.

The font chosen is Antipasto, which with its soft round edges is harmoniously combined with the pastel colours of the artwork.

Other materials

Seating chart, stickers, postcard and table numbers.
